Adarsh Eshwarappa is a Mechanical Engineer who was working in the BPO industry, following his Dreams of becoming a filmmaker from the past 11 years. He was born in Hassan, a small town in the state of Karnataka in India. Adarsh’s journey as a Filmmaker began in 2006. His initial Film Making course was at home, watching thousands of world cinemas on his 17 Inch computer screen for years. He simultaneously took up a night shift job in the BPO industry for his survival. He used the earnings to feed his family & self funded most of his Projects till Shuddhi. He took up a Short Term Film-making course in NYFA at Los Angeles, USA in 2010. He had to return to India in 2011 and continue his Job because of his financial commitments. He however did not let go of his Dreams, in-spite of his demanding night shift job. He made a couple of short films and one feature film (At a Shoe String Budget of 2 Lakhs) during this time from 2011 to 2014.
Though Adarsh Eshwarappa quit his Job in 2014 to Film Shuddhi, with a firm belief that he wouldn’t have to look back; he had to once again rejoin in 2015, since the funds for the post production dried up. Adarsh finished the post production of the film by taking a personal loan and funding it himself, working in a Night Shift with a BPO Firm. He quit his Job a few weeks before the Trailer Launch of Shuddhi. After a Million Hurdles, the Film was completed & released on March 17th 2017. Shuddhi completed a 100 day Theatrical Run on June 24th, 2017. Shuddhi is now streaming on NETFLIX.
Adarsh is now in the Pre Production of his next Film ‘Bhinna’ being produced by Purple Arrow Films & Yatheesh Venkatesh. The Film will be going on floors this July.
