Kevin Hudson is fulfilling his dream to bring to the screen the story of a little dandelion that overcomes great obstacles in its pursuit of a better life. His vision for this film stems from his deep belief that dreams, hopes, and wishes can be overcome no matter the distance or challenge.
Hudson is an American Film Maker who has devoted his life to the craft. He is best known for his work as a Digital Artist and is currently part of the team at Walt Disney Animation Studios. Some of the movies he has worked on are BIG HERO SIX, ZOOTOPIA and MOANA. Before Disney he worked in visual effects and was a member of the teams that brought to the screen movies that include; Stuart Little, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Hollowman, The Polar Express, and John Carter of Mars.
Before making the leap into the world of Digital Effects, Kevin worked in traditional special effects on such films as Edward Scissorhands, Predator 2, and The Addams Family.
Hudson has been an avid Film Fan his entire life and knew at a young age that he wanted to tell stories through film. He made home movies while attending Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton CA, developing his skills as an artist, which led him to UCLA. He attended the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television where he received a Magna Cum Laude and created the short film “Stream of Fire”, which won several student film awards throughout California.
Hudson continues his passion, both in his filmmaking and his commitment to the next generation of filmmakers at Gnomon school for the Visual Arts, where he is a part time instructor in Character Modeling and Sculpting. He is also a strong advocate for Social Issues and Human Rights having participated in the Equality March on Washington DC.
